Barbara L. Forage

Barbara Burpee Forage, age 93, of Damascus, MD, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on August 9, 1932, in Augusta, Georgia, to Lucille and Claude McKinley Burpee, Barbara grew up with a passion for gardening, animals and helping others. She attended Fontbonne University where she met her soul mate Adolf "Rudy" Forage and celebrated 68 years of marriage
More than her accomplishments, Barbara will be remembered for her love of family, fierce protective nature, and love of life. She spent her free time gardening, bridge club, and in community involvement. Her home was always open to friends, neighbors, stray animals, and she had a unique way of making everyone feel like they belonged.

She is survived by her children, Jean-Pierre, Steven, and Michelle; and her beloved grandchildren, Lyon, Sean, Colin, Max, Alex, Brittany and Devin who knew her as Bebe. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Rudy Forage, whom she now joins in heaven.

A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 AM at St. Michael's Catholic Church, February 21, 2026, 1125 Saint Michaels Rd, Mount Airy, MD 21771

A memorial Mass for Barbara's will be held on March 1, 2026, at the 11:00 Mass at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Damascus, MD.

There will be no visitation or viewing at the funeral prior to funeral Mass,
